Confirm you're eligible
Check the four conditions above. If they all hold, you're good to register.
Go to a registration point
Visit any of the 290 IEBC constituency offices, a selected Huduma Centre, or the Customer Experience Centre at Anniversary Towers. Register in the constituency where you live and intend to vote.
Present your ID
Hand your original National ID or valid passport to the registration clerk. They'll verify it. No other document works.
Give your biometrics
The clerk captures your photo and fingerprints on a biometric kit. That's it — the whole process is free.
Verify your details
Confirm everything is correct on the official portal at verify.iebc.or.ke, and check again closer to election day. You can also update details or transfer your polling station at any constituency office.

Straight answersWho is eligible to register?
Any Kenyan citizen aged 18 or above who holds a valid National ID or valid passport, has not been convicted of an election offence in the past five years, and has not been declared to be of unsound mind.
What documents do I need?
Your original Kenyan National ID or a valid Kenyan passport — no other form of identification is accepted. Registration itself is free.
Where do I register?
